Artist Statement

My artwork focus on combine Chinese culture and contemporary art. When I doing research about Chinese architectures, windows and other Chinese aesthetics things, I find that Chinese culture quite similar like contemporary art. For example, there are a lot of contemporary art using mortise and tenon technology. 

I like the way for use lines to create a new space, and like use the mortise and tenon. Wood and metal are my favorite materials. In China, wood means vitality, metal means kill. When these two material combine together, it likes this world have two sides. There are a plenty of way to using wood and metal. For myself, design is more like a adventure.
